So I have had writers block. Get over it. I know I have. And instead of coming back with some fantastic story to write about, I don’t really. Its such a pointless topic, I will be surprised if anyone reads it. but you know, I have been told I’m quite good at talking to myself.
You see, I have grown on this obsession with tea. Last year it was coffee, and I used to drink it all the time, keep myself awake (although some would claim that my amount of coffee could keep no one awake, but that’s only because they have enough caffeine to keep a bear out of hibernation in their cups, yeah you know who I’m talking about, I’m looking at you). However then I heard stories about people getting headaches from not drinking it, and getting addicted to it and everything, and decided it was not for me. So now, since I have been getting increasingly tired thanks to assignments, stress and a social life, I have needed some caffeine from somewhere. So I went on a hunt.
Now I would have turned to coke, however do you know how bad that is for you? The good life? Well enjoy life with coke, and an absence of teeth. I have never really got back into coke after not drinking it for a few years under dentists orders. Best thing I have ever done, well not really. Best thing for my teeth.
Now there are only so many places you can turn for caffeine. It’s a pity that on lack of sleep there are so little options; coffee, where you seek addiction for the rest of your life, soft drink where you end up awake, but your teeth are always a little yellower, I suppose you can go to caffeine tablets if you’re into the hardcore stuff, but I’m telling you, that’s not me.
So that left me one option. Yes, I turned to tea. I have now become a tea addict. As weird as it is, tea is really enjoyable for me, and what’s better, less caffeine! Which means it doesn’t really wake me up, but even so! The fact there’s something there makes it all better.
I never realised the beauty of tea until my time of need. Like a lost friend, which I had pushed to the back of the pantry, it waited until it was needed, until I was in complete crisis, and showed its glowing face to me; a sign from up above!
The good thing is that it comes in so many flavours. I used to think there was only one type, but really there are so many. I would have to say my favourite is Earl Grey, however due to a lack of it in my pantry, and my friends for that matter, I have turned to English breakfast, which is almost as good. It also caters for my laziness. I don’t have to do anything, but switched the kettle on, get a cup and put a tea bag in. The only annoying thing is milk and sugar. You have to get it exactly write, because when its too milky, it isn’t as good as when its just right.
Now I know what you’re all thinking; she’s off her tree. Well, I probably am. I mean, tea is for grannies, right? No one else drinks tea?
Well I think that’s the sad thing. We assign certain things to certain groups, just stereotype them together. Grannies are the one’s that sit around eating cup cakes and sipping tea, with there little pinkie out drinking from the good china. It seems so strange for someone young to drink tea, and enjoy it. I must be destined to be old and boring before my time. Well, I highly doubt that. Its sad that we have stereotyped these sorts of things into such tight groups, where only one certain type of person can do this.
I am telling you now, that I am going to drink tea no matter what people say. I am going to wear my tea drinking granny label with pride. I might even put it on a badge, knit a doily. Whatever works.

Well I resent the bear comment, though many would argue that when I get up in the morning i am like i bear in hibernation until i have my coffee, (hahahaha). Hmm i still drink tea as well depends on the day, time and what mood i am, i still say that if i have time i normally have 2 cups of coffee, (first one blindingly strong, second more cause i LOVE the taste (be jealous, sorry lol) and then one cup of tea or 2 (plus it depends on the whether in summer i might have a juice or a banana Smoothie), but there are only 2 way to have tea, strong and black, no sugar or white (well it actually more like a browny-beige), with heaps of sugar. Anyway, been thinking of you hence how i found this new blog. and now i have added my ramablings to your blog.

People drink tea. I drink tea. Luke drinks tea. You drink tea. I think ur laboring under a missapprehension that ppl don’t drink tea. Of course I’m more of a natural tea drinker, Chamomile tea, but english breakfast is gd too. Chamomile is very good to ease the nerves and natural too. But despite ur misapprehension that ppl don’t drink tea, i loved your blog. how someone can keep me entertained when they’re just rambling bout tea is not known to me. but you do it. I’m glued. maybe it’s bcoz in everyblog theres some reference to the beloved boyf and it’s fun to pick it out. or maybe not. AH WELL I guess we’ll neva know.
You know tea is really quite trendy at the moment, I mean there are whole shops that sell only tea. So there’s no need to go knit a doily or whatever lol. Your blog is awesome lol, funniest part of my weekend, cheered me up slightly
Keep rambling! lol xoxo
